BMW SHOW 2010
Sunday 19th September at Santa Pod Raceway
with RWYB Saturday 18th September

The BMW Show at Santa Pod Raceway is back for it's fifth year and all BMWs are welcome- race cars, show cars, modern, retros, classics, new minis and BMW bikes.

BMWs have all the right elements to make great drag cars. Powerful engines, rear-wheel drive and stable handling all add up to unbeatable straight-line fun. It's no wonder so many BMW owners are hooked on Run What Ya Brung events at Santa Pod Raceway.

It's for this reason that Santa Pod introduced an event exclusively for BMW owners, where the track is open only to Bavaria's finest. Camping is available to all those that wish to stay for an extra day of fun at the Pod with RWYB on Saturday and music in Fuelers bar on Saturday night plus fun fair rides.

The BMW SHOW 2010 will feature:

Show & Shine

Show & Shine Competition (BMWs Only)

Got a sweet BMW show car? Whether it's a concours classic, or a modern modified monster, you are welcome to park up in the Show Car Paddock. There’s no need to pre-enter, and anyone with a BMW can enter on the day for FREE.

Trophies:

  • BEST OF SHOW
  • BEST CUSTOM
  • BEST ORIGINAL
  • NEW FOR 2010 - BEST NEW MINI
  • NEW FOR 2010 - BEST BIKE

Don’t leave your car in the carpark where nobody can see it, get it round to the show & shine area, located behind the grandstand and you might be going home with a trophy.

  1. Don’t forget to register your entry when you arrive in the show & shine area, registration is FREE.
  2. Don’t forget to attend the presentations to find out if you have won.
Total BMW spacer Judging will be carried out by Total BMW magazine.  Editor Adam Tait will be on the panel and he has a few tips to help you on your way:

Please remember this isn’t a concours show, so we won’t be knocking off points for non-original brake pads, but we will be choosing cars on what we like the best purely on look and overall condition. The best original will go to older cars in exceptional condition. The best custom is for cars that are heavily modified, and best of show is the car that everyone wants to take home!

Jet Car

BMW Racing Drivers Club

Another first for the BMW Show is the attendance of the BMW Racing Drivers Club. This club has been running for 10 years organising one of the country's premier BMW only race championships. They visit all the major circuits in the UK and attract full grids for their four classes. Their aim is to provide a close competitive series for drivers where big budgets aren't necessarily the key. Starting at a low cost entry class where cars can be competitive running standard engines, progressing upwards in cost and performance to accommodate the latest vehicles.

If you're just starting out or thinking about getting into racing then visit the BMW Racing Drivers Club stand at the BMW Show or their web site at www.bmwrdc.com.
